Jacob McNeil, Kristyn Stilling and Becky Claridge
Paperny Entertainment is about to experience a major marmite shortage.
We’re sad to announce that our office manager – and resident Englishwoman - Becky Claridge is leaving us after two years of exceptional service to return to her native London. Becky’s charm, diligence and distinctively British food spreads will be greatly missed.
“I can't believe how quickly the time has flown,” Becky says. “It's honestly been the best job I've ever had - I've learned so much, and working with everyone at Paperny has been an absolute blast.”
Becky originally joined Paperny in 2010 after moving from England, where she had worked on a variety of independent films as a production assistant. Now, two years later, she’s returning home confident in the skills she developed during her time in Vancouver.
“I'm going to miss coming into the office everyday but I know I've gained some amazing experience to take back with me,” she says. “I just want to say a huge thank-you to everyone I've worked with over the last two years!”
Our disappointment in losing Becky is tempered by our excitement in introducing our new office manager, Kristyn Stilling. A graduate of Capilano University, Kristyn joins us from Vancouver’s Zoic Studios where she worked as the Office Coordinator. Kristyn also previously worked as a program administrator at the Whistler Film Festival, where she liaised with filmmakers and assisted the programming team. Her friendly demeanor and firsthand knowledge of the industry promise to be big assets in the office.
“I am very excited to join the team at Paperny Entertainment,” Kristyn says. “I am a big fan of their work, and everyone has been so nice and welcoming! Although we are sad to see Becky go, I am looking forward to this opportunity.”
Coming to Kristyn's aid will be Jacob McNeil, our new Assistant Office Manager. Jacob's a recent graduate of UBC's Film programm and already has a few local credits under his belt, having worked as a production assistant on the sets of Fringe and Alcatraz.
Please help us in welcoming Kristyn and Jacob and in bidding Becky a very fond farewell.
